As of October 5, 2015, the Thompson kitchen, located in the lower level of the SOC building, is now open under the direction of Chef Brian Brenner. Chef Brian uses the freshest of ingredients for the in-house lunches served at 11:30 am weekdays in the SOC cafe to seniors, who are interested in fellowship and a tasty, wholesome lunch. Cost of lunch is $5 and reservation is required. To make a lunch reservation, please contact Services for Older Citizens at (313) 882-9600.

Accompanied by gently simmered and stirred risotto finished with a bit of parmesan cheese
